Team Buzz Results
Sep 30th, 2009 by Jeremy Williams

On Saturday the club was part of a team of over 100 volunteers who have made a difference in the lives of families who have been touched by the Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville. This year alone Ronald McDonald House Charity has proudly served over 1,100 families and volunteers will have given over 20,000 hours of their time. On behalf of the RMHC Board of Directors and the 5K Run & Festival Committee Members, the RMHC Staff wishes to thank the GT Club of Jacksonville for volunteering at the 2009 Children’s Way 5K and Family Festival.

Everyone is very proud of the turnout this year and also thanks goes out to everyone who participated and made Team Buzz a success. A good time was had by all and everyone could see the happiness shared by parents and kids alike at the festival.

Description: It’s hard to believe that summer is winding down, but just as school work is ramping up for our students in Atlanta, so too are the number of activities with the Club this fall. I’m excited to announce that we will be partnering this year with the Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville for our annual TEAM BUZZ Day. Each year the House hosts a 5K Race and Family Festival as a fundraiser and plans are for our volunteers to help with coordinating both an adult & children’s race and to direct games for the kids at the Family Festival following the race.

Date: Saturday, September 26, 2009
Time: 8:00 to 11:00 am
Volunteers Needed: 10 to 15
Volunteer Option: Consider running the 5K with other alumni or entering your children under 12 into the 1 mile Children’s Fun Run.

Please consider joining us this year and be on the lookout for an upcoming RSVP to secure your spot!
