Title: Spring Dinner
Location: 12000 Alumni Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32224 (UNF University Center)
Description: Spring is in the air and plans for our annual Scholarship Dinner are now set. Please plan to join us on Tuesday, May 4th as we award our club’s four $5,000 scholarships, congratulate all of our incoming students, and listen to a campus update from our guest speaker.

Mr. Brian Woodall, Acting Chair of the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs will be presenting “The Global Institute: Georgia Tech International Initiatives”. Created in 1990 and named in honor of former U.S. Senator Sam Nunn in 1996, the School’s programs focus on understanding the global context of advances in science and technology and on preparing students to address pressing concerns at the nexus of science, technology, and international affairs. Did you know that students have the opportunity to participate in School-sponsored summer programs in Europe, Argentina, Brazil, East Asia, and Mexico?

We’ve planned another entertaining program this year and I hope that you’ll reserve time to join us.

  • Cost: $18 for Members; $22 for Non-Members; Free for Incoming Students
  • Cash bar will be available
  • RSVP with payment by Friday April 30th. $5 will be added after 4/30 & at the door.

Spring Dinner Results
May 6th, 2009 by Matt Bishop

The spring dinner was a huge success! Over 60 people came to our event this past Monday and everyone had a great time. Scholarships were awarded, former basketball player Matt Causey spoke about his life before, during, and after Tech, and we even gave our parting president John Lee a few gifts to go out on. The new club president is Jeremy Williams. Some photos of the event:
