Description: All are invited to attend the annual GT Accepted Student Reception on Tuesday, April 19th between 6:00 PM & 8:00 PM.

Purpose
Encourage accepted high school students in our local area to choose GT as they prepare to make their final college decision.
Offer parents and students the opportunity to interact with alumni and hear about their positive experiences at GT.
More than 60 high school seniors in our area have been accepted for Summer/Fall 2011.

• 20 Students were interviewed for our Club’s Scholarships
• 12 Students were interviewed for President’s Scholarship

Directions: North on University Blvd about 2 miles past Jacksonville University. Turn right into Charter Point neighborhood. Turn right at 3rd right onto River Trail Rd North.

Title: Fall Meet & Greet

Description: All area alumni are invited to our upcoming Meet & Greet at Seven Bridges Grille & Brewery.

Due to your feedback and falling interest in a planned fall dinner event with non-attractive speakers, we’ve arranged a more casual & family friendly event around our in-state rivalry men’s basketball game. The club has reserved a semi-private room and no RSVPs are required. Simply stop by if you like, stay as long or as little as you like, order food if you like, meet old friends or make new ones, and watch the Jackets go head-to-head with that other Georgia school.

All our guests had a great time at this year’s student send-off. We had a special treat and were able to offer not just one but two $1,000 scholarships for both freshmen and upperclassmen. Everyone chowed down on some nice Bono’s bar-b-que and talked about all the exciting times coming up in the next month or so when classes resume in Atlanta. Some photos:

Title: Student Send-Off

Description: It’s time for our annual Student Send-Off on Tuesday, July 27th (6-8 PM). If you missed it last year, it’s a casual celebration honoring our incoming and current Tech students and their families.

In addition to sharing more about life and experiences on campus, we’re proud to continue the tradition of scholarship drawings for both a freshman and upperclassman in attendance. As an added bonus this year, I’m happy to announce that we’ll be doubling the amount of scholarship drawings from $2,000 to $4,000. TWO incoming freshman and TWO upperclassmen will be the lucky recipients of $1,000 each just for joining the party!

Cost: $10/person. No charge for incoming or current GT students. Includes barbecue and all the trimmings catered by Bono’s BarBQ.
